Beau Chene coed, unbelted, runs off road, over-corrects, killed in pre-school collision with bus

Arrangements are pending for a 17-year-old Beau Chene High coed killed Monday morning in a crash in St. Landry Parish. Nonchalaunt Guillory was a sophomore and a member of the basketball team and color guard.
At 6:40 a.m. Guillory, of Opelousas, was driving a 2000 Mazda passenger car south on LA Highway 357. State Troopers say a school bus was headed north and both entered a curve in the road. Guillory for some reason allegedly traveled off the right side of the road and over-corrected to the left, crossing the centerline, hitting the school bus. The bus was empty but for the driver, who received minor injuries.
Guillory was unrestrained and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. She died there.
