Two killed in crash after pickup hits car from behind
A Sunday crash involving three vehicles killed a woman from Pineville and a woman from Walker Two others were injured, as a result of the crash, and were transported to a local hospital.
State Troopers responded to the crash around 12:04 p.m. It occurred on LA Hwy 107 south of LA Hwy 3128. The crash involved a 2000 Ford F-250, driven by Norman K. McNeal, 57, of Deville, a 1995 Nissan Sentra, driven by Linda D. Zoubek, 68, of Pineville, and a 2000 Ford pickup, driven by Linda C. Greenway, 64, of Pineville.
The F-250 and the Nissan were northbound on LA Hwy 107 when the Nissan began to slow down and prepared to make a left turn. The F-250 failed to stop and collided with the rear of the Nissan. As a result of this collision, the Nissan crossed the centerline and collided with the Ford pickup.
McNeal was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.
Zoubek was wearing her seatbelt, but was killed.
Ethel D. Garrett, 67, and Josef Zoubek, 68, both of Pineville, were passengers in the Nissan. Garrett was killed. It is unknown if she was wearing her seatbelt. Josef Zoubek was wearing his seatbelt and received moderate injuries. He was transported to Rapides Regional Trauma Center.
Greenway was wearing her seatbelt and received minor injuries. She was transported to Rapides Regional Trauma Center.
Routine toxicology tests and charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
