Local native named Vice President for Las Vegas CBS Radio

Charese Fruge

Charese Fruge has been named Vice President, Programming for CBS Radio’s six-station cluster in Las Vegas, Nev.
Fruge takes on the added role in addition to her responsibilities as Program Director for KMXB-FM, KXTE-FM, and their respective HD Radio digital channels, Rewind 94.1-HD2 and Sin 107.5-HD2.
A 20-year radio veteran, she has spent the last 10 years in Las Vegas with CBS Radio. A member of the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame, she has collected numerous programming awards and women’s leadership honors, including Radio Ink’s Most Influential Women in Radio for 2012 and 2013.
In addtion to Fruge’s recent honor as Vice President programming at CBS Radio’s six-station cluster, she received the 2012 “Genii Award” for Excellence in Management while at Entergy 1073.7 San Diego and Mix 94.1 and X107.5 Las Vegas. She was voted Woman of the Year in 2011 in her field by National Association of Professional Women.
Fruge was featured in Billboard Magazine as one of the “Most innovative Program Directors” in radio.
Her station KMXB was presented the “Excellence in Programming” by CBS 2009 voted one of Radio’s Best Programmers by Radio Ink.
Fruge has written numerous articles for trade magazines and other outlets.
Fruge graduated from St. Edmund High in 1990 and ULL in 1993 with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Journalism.
She is the daughter of Marion and Sally Fruge of Eunice and currently resides in Las Vegas.
