Four killed in Avoyelles accident

Four people were killed in a two-vehicle accident during the early morning hours today. The accident was near the Moncla bridge on La. Highway 107 north of Marksville. Both vehicles exploded and burned after impact, according to reports.
There were two people in each vehicle and all four were pronounced dead at the scene. There were three males and one female killed in the accident.
Authorities are still trying to determine their identities. State Police Troop E is investigating the accident and no other information is available at the current time.
This is the largest amount of life loss in a single accident in several years in Avoyelles Parish.
