Winners of the 2015 World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-Off

Eunice Rotary Cafe' (1st place Club/Organization Cooking Division)

Double Action (1st place Amateur Cooking Division)

A beautiful sunshine day on Sunday drove large crowds to the 30th annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off held at the Northwest Community Pavilion.
Over 30 teams, which included amateur, professional, clubs and organization division, cooked their ‘favorite and secret’ crawfish etouffee recipes for public’s sampling, professional judges judging, and to “vy” for a first, or second place trophy.
Winners of the 2015 Crawfish Etouffee Cookoff included:
Cooking Division (Amateur), Double Action Outdoor & Sports-first place
The Eunice News-second place; and third place: DeVillier House Movers
Cooking Division (Professional) LAS -first place; and CLECO-second place
Cooking Division (Club/Organization) Rotary Cafe’-first place and The Homesteaders (St. Landry Homestead) second place, and Case of Mud Bugs-Progressive Tractor- third place
The Showmanship/Booth Decoration division included Club/Organization, Amateur and Professional divisions.
In the Club/Organization, Rotary Club Cafe’-first place, Eunice Mardi Gras Association-second place
In the Amateur category, Double Action Sports took home first place, The Eunice News- second place, and Progressive Tractor - third place
Professional category of Showmanship/Booth Decoration, first place-The Frosty Spoon, second place-Palace Cafe
Winning People’s Choice Award, voted by the people, was Charles Jagneaux for Clerk of Court booth
