Police Chief and officers pay a visit at East Elementary

Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot, along with a handful of police officers and Officer Stephanie Myers and K-9 Zeus spoke to East Elementary kindergarten students about their jobs and what their job entails. Students completed a reading lesson on “Jobs People Do” and invited the Eunice Police for a visit. Students learned more about safety and what to do in emergency situations. They were also able to view a police vehicle and see a hands-on-demonstration by Officer Myers and Zeus. The K-9 officer and Zeus’ handler, not pictured, is Sgt. Michael Dunn.
