Judge Genovese visits Acadia Parish group

Judge Jimmy Genovese of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in Lake Charles visited the Summit Group at the Rice Palace in Crowley on Saturday April 11. He reviewed the duties and responsibilities of a District Judge and then the duties and responsibilities of an Appellant Judge after which he opened the meeting up to questions and answers. He is planning to run for the Supreme Court in the next election. He was well received by the Summit Group and received a standing ovation by the members at the conclusion of the meeting.
