International Day celebrated at St. Edmund Elementary

St. Edmund Elementary sixth-graders celebrated International Day Friday as part of a year-end social studies project. Their projects were displayed at the Jeanmard Center for judging on appearance, creativity, knowledge and more. Students were required as a grade to choose a country in the world, write a book report, create a visual project model, dress in native attire of chosen country, and prepare a native dish.
Some of the countries represented included Mexico, Thailand, Germany, Spain, Greece, France, England, Italy, Switzerland, Vietnam, Japan, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Romania, Guatemala and India.
Sixth grade teachers are Dayna Landry and Julie Fontenot.
