Charge upgraded in Eunice fatal stabbing

Joseph McKinley Guillory

A Eunice man originally arrested on a manslaughter charge after a fatal stabbing is now charged with second-degree murder, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.
The charge against Joseph McKinley Guillory, 29, 515 B. Fuselier St., Eunice, was upgraded Wednesday, he said.
Guillory was also charged with illegal carrying of weapon.
Guillory is charged in connection with the stabbing death of Haymen Douresseau Jr., 38, of Eunice.
Police said the incident at the Acadian Village Apartments in the 500 block of Fuselier Street was the result of an ongoing feud between the two men.
