Harrison graduates from Upper Lafayette Academy
The Upper Lafayette Academy’s mission is to provide a means for Adult learners regardless of location access to educational opportunities that meet or exceed expectations for earning a Louisiana State approved high school diploma.
Programs provide ongoing contact time with highly qualified resource providers, guidance in the selection and use of suitable educational curriculum, monitoring course delivery efficiency and effectiveness, collaboration with institutions to make possible student learning and achievement through consolidation of learning by solidifying credit earned elsewhere.
Upper Lafayette Academy provides, educational opportunity to high school adult learners with an emphasis on those historically underrepresented in higher education, an opportunity to graduate from high school. The Academy meets students where they are academically and geographically, offering quality education and the assessment of learning.
At Upper Lafayette Academy, the school provides an academic credit bank to a diverse student body, enabling a realizing of potential, imparting an understanding of commitment, and creating a desire to excel.
“Established in 2013, with the desire to help adults over 18 finish their dream of finishing high school, we worked diligently to put together a program that would meet Louisiana Department of Education requirements and is approved by LDOE as per BESE bulliten 741,” said Dr. Homer White.
