Acadian Ambulance promotes Gerard
Acadian Ambulance has promoted Zac Gerard to a Hub City operations supervisor position. In his new role, Gerard oversees the daily operations in Lafayette, Vermilion, St. Landry, St. Martin and Iberia parishes; responds to emergencies and assists paramedics; and is in charge of ambulance stations, five ambulance units and 36 employees in Broussard, Scott and Lafayette.
Gerard has been with Acadian for 13 years, starting as an EMT Basic, then working as a dispatcher, flex paramedic and paramedic field supervisor. He attended South Louisiana Community College to earn his EMT Basic certification, and completed his paramedic certification through Acadian’s National EMS Academy.
In addition, Gerard serves his home community of Broussard as a police officer and fire captain.
Acadian Ambulance is one of the largest ambulance services in the nation, offering emergency and non-emergency transportation to areas in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi.
