Harrington returns to Eunice Player's Theatre as director

Annette Harrington of Eunice returned to the Eunice Players’ Theatre’s board of directors earlier this year after working out of state for the past several years.
Not only has she come back to sit on the board of which she once served as president, but Harrington has jumped in with both feet to tackle the task of directing this year’s summer musical, Honky Tonk Angels.
The director’s first appearance with Eunice Player’s Theatre dates back to 1985 when she took the role of Meg in the musical Damn Yankees. Since that time she has directed several productions including “Noises Off” and “Singing in the Rain.” With several Irving awards to her credit for set and costume design, she has worked backstage and “dressed” many sets, actors, and actresses.
In presenting Honky Tonk Angels, Harrington has compiled three veterans of the Eunice stage to play the trio of “angels” who share their personal stories in this funny and heartfelt musical that salutes the country music genre. Fans of country music will recognize classics such as “Harper Valley PTA, “9 to 5,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Delta Dawn” - just to name a few.
A five piece stage band backs up the singers in this stage production that should keep theatre patrons smiling, laughing, and clapping along.
Tickets are available at David’s Hair Ltd. Show dates include July 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, and 25. Dinner theatre is offered on July 22.
