A new schedule for Bobcats, Jays

The Eunice Bobcats move down to Class 3-A this fall, while two familar faces join St. Edmund’s district.
Eunice (4-6, 2-4 in 2014) will rejoin district rivalries with Church Point and Northwest.
The Bobcats open the season at home against Opelousas High on Sept. 5 before road trips to Jennings and St. Martinville.
Eunice returns home to take on Rayne on Oct. 2 before opening District 5-3A at Ville Platte.
Northwest visits Eunice on Oct. 16 before the Bobcats travel to Church Point.
Eunice will entertain Port Barre on Oct. 30 before their first-ever road trip to Pine Prairie to close the regular season.
St. Edmund (7-4, 4-0 in 2014) opens the season at home against Northwest on Sept. 4, followed by a road trip to rival Iota.
Opelousas Catholic visits Blue Jay Field on Sept. 18 before the Blue Jays travel to Port Barre.
Class 4-A Beau Chene visits St. Edmund on Oct. 2 before the Blue Jays open District 5-1A play with three straight road games against False River Academy, Catholic High of Pointe Coupee and Westminster Christian Academy.
The Blue Jays finish the regular season at home against North Central and Basile.
The Bearcats (10-2, 6-1) open the season at home agaimst Vinton before road trips to Ville Platte and South Cameron.
Basile entertains Logansport on Sept. 25 before closing their non-district schedule at Class 3-A Port Barre.
The Bearcats open District 5-1A action at North Central but then have three straight at home against Westminster, False River and Catholic-Pointe Coupee.
Basile travels to rival St. Edmund to end the regular season.
Church Point (10-2, 4-1) opens the season with three road trips to Rayne, Iowa and Kaplan.
The Bears’ first home game is against Jennings on Sept. 25 followed by a home date with Franklinton.
Church Point opens District 5-3A play at home against Port Barre before a road trip to Pine Prairie.
After the home battle with the Bobcats on Oct. 23, the Bears then visit Northwest.
Church Point closes the regular season at home against Ville Platte.
Iota (0-10, 0-5) has another tough schedule opening with a home game against Sacred Heart of Ville Platte and St. Edmund before visiting Lake Arthur on Sept. 18.
The Bulldogs close their non-district slate at home against Welsh and Kinder.
Iota stays at home to open District 4-3A play against Jennings and Westlake.
The Bulldogs then close the regular season at Iowa, St. Louis and South Beauregard.
Mamou (1-9, 0-5) open the season at Ville Platte and East Beauregard before a home game against Oberlin on Sept. 18.
The Green Demons go back on the road against Pine Prairie and Oakdale.
Mamou begins District 4-2A competition at home against Lake Arthur before hitting the road at Kinder and Welsh.
The Green Demons close the regular season at home against DeQuincy and Vinton.
