Newest teachers at Eunice Elementary
Eunice Elementary Principal Mary Dupre welcomes her newest teachers on campus this year.
Chelsee’ Checker, a first-year teacher, and first-grade teacher at Eunice Elementary, graduated from UL Lafayette in 2014 earning her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an add-on certification in early childhood education.
Checker resides in Opelousas with her family and her puppy, Jagger.
Brooke Brown, a kindergarten teacher, is a graduate of Erath High School and UL of Lafayette. Brown earned a bachelor’s degree of science in early childhood education. Brown is married to Sam Brown and the couple has one daughter, Brylee.
Rebekah Prudhomme, a first grade teacher, is a graduate of UL Lafayette. She taught first grade at Oberlin Elementary, and third grade at North Crowley Elementary. She is a six year educator, and married to Christopher Prudhomme and the mother of three children, John Peyton, Wyatt and Audrey.
Heather Duplechin, a fourth grade teacher, is a graduate of UL Lafayette. Duplechin taught at Central Middle School from 2008-2015. She is married to Shane Duplechin and the mother of two, Sawyer and Madison.
