Fish fry dinners at St. Mathilda
The St. Mathilda Church Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor fish-dinner fundraiser plate lunches from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. every Friday at the Bishop Ceaser Center.
A donation of $8 will be accepted.
Lenten Fish dinner will not be served on Good Friday.

OLLI at LSU Eunice AARP Smart Drivers
The Cajun Prairie Chapter of OLLI is presenting an AARP Smart Drivers Course.
The course will be held on the LSUE campus in the Continuing Education Bldg. room 117. on March 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Refresh your defensive driving skills, review traffic laws and rules of the road using proven safety strategies as well as have the opportunity to perhaps receive a multi-year discount on your insurance. No test to pass.
Cost of the class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.
OLLI members will also receive a $5 discount.

ABC host Women’s Retreat March 18-19
The Acadian Baptist Center near Richard will hold a Women’s Retreat on Friday and Saturday. Speaker will be Kathy Nelson of Ruston.
Nelson has been ministering to college students for 25 years and is an author, bible teacher, and speaker at retreats and conferences. Music will be provided by Katy James.
Cost for this event is $80, including meals and lodging; $45 for commuters, including meals.

Easter Wishing Doll session set Saturday
An Easter-themed Wishing Doll making session will be held at Four Southern Girls on S.2nd Street in Eunice from 1 until 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Easter musical at First Baptist
The choir of First Baptist Church in Eunice will present an Easter Musical, “Blessed Dawn”, on Sunday at 7 p.m.
The public is invited and admission is free.
FBC Chataignier presents musical
The church choir of First Baptist Church in Chataignier will present an Easter Musical “The Mercy Tree” on March 27 at 10 a.m.
EHS baseball team to host baseball camp
The Eunice High School Bobcat baseball team will host an Easter baseball camp on March 28-29 at the EHS baseball field.
The camp is designed to teach and develop the fundamentals of baseball, including proper throwing, hitting, fielding, and base running techniques.
The camp is designed for ages 8-13 and will be held from 10 am to 1 pm.
Pick up registration forms from any EHS baseball player or at any EHS home baseball game at the concession stand.
Information: contact any EHS baseball coach. Cost is $50, which includes the price of a camp T-shirt.
Pre-registration deadline is March 20.
BBQ hamburgers EHS seniors - April 6
Eunice High seniors Adam Elkins, Shelbie Cormier and Jessica Hernandez will sponsor a BBQ Hamburger sale for their senior project in order to raise funds for Louisiana Lion’s Camp for Crippled Children.
The fundraiser will be held on April 6 from 5 until 7 p.m. in front of Eunice High School. Hamburgers will sold at 7 each and it will include chips and a drink.

ECCHC host Oldies dance on April 2
The Eunice Community Health Center will host an Oldies But Goodies dance from 6 to 10 p.m. April 2 at VFW Post 8971 in Eunice.
Mark Leleux and Chanky-Chank will play at the event. Admission is $5 or a monetary donation. Proceeds will benefit the center.
Beverages and beer will be sold at the dance.
OLLI at LSU Eunice host history buff
On April 7 inside the Continuing Education Building Room 117, the Cajun Prairie Chapter of OLLI at LSUE will welcome history buff John Reed of Eunice.
Reed will give a talk on Civil War battles that were fought around south Louisiana, beginning at 2 p.m.
Coffee will be served. Feel free to invite a friend.
This event is free.
OLLI at LSU Eunice host April 28 event
The OLLI at LSU Eunice will have a carpool to Point Blue to visit the old bouseage (spelling- mud and moss filled house) home which belongs to Mr. J. D. Soileau.
The group will meet at 9 a.m. at the Continuing Ed Building, Room 117 and carpool to the home and have lunch and dine at a nearby restaurant.
The event is free. Have money for your lunch.
VFW bingo held Thursdays, Sundays
The VFW Post 8971 holds bingo for the public at 7 p.m. every Thursday and Sunday at the VFW Hall located on U.S. 190 East. All proceeds from Bingo games goes back to the community.
