13-year-old arrested for sex crimes

Eunice Police arrested a 13-year-old male on Friday and charge him with two counts of first-degree rape, one count of aggravated rape and one count of sexual battery.
Two children, ages 5 and 8, were attacked on May 7, Sgt. Stephanie Myers said.
The teen is accused of raping both children and forcing the oldest child to perform sex acts on the younger child, Myers said.
The 8-year-old was choked by the teen as a way of forcing the child to perform sexual acts on the 5-year-old, Myers said.
Details are being withheld to protect the victims, she said.
If convicted, the maximum sentence for the teen is prison until he is 21 years old, Myers said.
