Tower touts Trump

The Mamou Road Water District tower was drawing attention as people spotted a Trump sign on it beginning Wednesday.
Brent Ardoin, water system manager, said he put the sign up on the tower at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday.
The sign is on the north side of the tower.
“Over here we go with what people feel,” he said of the decision to put Trump on the tower.
Ardoin said his board approved the sign and 80 to 90 percent of the water system’s 858 members are for presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“I’ve been doing this for a year talking with everyone,” he said.
The water district is a non-profit, he said.
The sign will stay up until the water system gets a court order to take it down, he said.
“We run this water system, not the government,” he said.
Ardoin estimated 20 to 30 people have stopped daily to take photos of the “Trump Tower” and social media has been busy with the sign.
