Obstetrician
THIBODAUX – Services for long-time obstetrician Dr. Donald Crochet will be Saturday. He died April 7 at age 82.
He was a pitcher on the first Nicholls State baseball team and former head of obstetrics at Myrtle Beach, S.C. Air Force Base. He practiced here more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn and five children.
Arrangements are by Landry’s.
Long-time parish councilman
NEW IBERIA – Services will be Friday for long-time parish councilman Fred Romero. He died April 8 at age 87.
He was a veteran of World War II and was on the Iberia Parish Council for 18 years. His many businesses included grocery stores, service stations, a feed store and a restaurant. He developed five subdivisions in the Coteau area.
