Street ministry founder
PRAIRIEVILLE – Services for street ministry coordinator the Rev. Lucious Hargrove, Sr. will be Saturday. He died Tuesday at age 73.
He was pastor of Mt. Gillion Baptist Church for 18 years. He was founder of Parents Against Drugs of Louisiana and organized regional teen conferences.
Survivors include his wife Mary and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield.
Orthopaedic surgeon
GRAND ISLE – Services for surgeon and musician Dr. Charles Hand will be Saturday.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and played in various jazz bands across the South. He spent most of his private practice career as an orthopaedic surgeon in Monroe. He later was supervisor of orthopaedic residents at Chabert Charity, Houma.
Survivors include his wife Jackie and two sons.
Arrangements are by Smart-Mothe, Cut Off.
