Geology professor
MONROE – Services for retired geology professor Dr. Leonard Young will be Wednesday. He died May 3 at age 78.
He was a professor of geology at UL-Monroe for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife Mary.
Arrangements are by Kilpatrick.

Forest scientist
PINEVILLE – Services for retired U.S. Forest Service scientist and author Harold Grelen will be Wednesday. He died May 4 at age 84.
He was a range scientist at the Southern Forest Experiment Station in Tioga and the co-author and illustrator of two books related to Southern forests.
Survivors include his wife Janie, a son and two daughters.
