Detective
JENNINGS – Arrangements are pending for retired detective Jean Cooley. He died March 23 at age 54.
He was a detective for nine years with the Jennings Police Dept. and prior to that worked for the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Businessman
BATON ROUGE – Services are Wednesday for businessman James Lain, Jr. He died March 29 at age 94.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II’s Pacific Theater. He was co-owner of Capital American Acceptance Corp. and a past director of the International Consumer Credit Association.
Survivors include his wife Joy and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.

Plantation president
DONALDSONVILLE – Services for farmer and farm supply company owner Robert Lemann, Sr. will be Wednesday. He died March 28 at age 65.
He was president of Palo Alto Plantation, the farm on which he was born and lived his entire life, and was owner for 20 years of Lemann’s Farm Supply. He was on the boards of several family businesses.
Survivors include his wife Dianne and four sons.
Arrangements are by Ourso.
