Dr. J.S. Fontenot

VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Dr. Joseph Sidney Fontenot, age 80, announces his passing on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 12 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum with Father Tom Voorhies as celebrant.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Dr. J.S. will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 and a half years, Lola Morein Fontenot of Ville Platte, daughters; Agatha Fontenot Mayeaux of Youngsville, Marla Fontenot Bourque and husband Gary Troy of Youngsville, Danica Fontenot New and husband Brian Charles of Breaux Bridge. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his 2 grandchildren: Courtney Nicole and Ethan Joseph New and 1 step grand-child, Camille Claire Bourqe.
Mr. Fontenot will now reunite in heaven with his parents, Louis and Rena Fontenot and in laws, Vories and Camiola Morein.
At the request of the Fontenot family, a visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 10 AM until 9 PM and will reopen again on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in Mr. Fontenot's honor on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 7 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, La.
