Louis Nicola Pavich, Jr., community's Santa

Louis Nicola Pavich, Jr., who was Santa Claus in the city's Christmas parade for years, died on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at the age of 68.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Eunice. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Pavich of Eunice; two daughters, Lora Pierce and her husband Kris of Lafayette and Monica Pavich of Eunice; two sons, Stefan Pavich and his wife Nicole of Lafayette and Nico Pavich and his wife Hannah of Scott; two sisters, Michelle Pavich of Lake Charles and Onesia Pavich of New Orleans; one brother, Dr. Russell Pavich and his wife Myra of Eunice; and eight grandchildren, Byce Pavich, Jailyn Pavich, Ethan Pavich, Reece Pavich, Molly Pierce, Hayes Pierce, Gavin Pavich, and Isabella Faulk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis N. and Lela Mae Bertrand Pavich.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin and the Catholic Daughters at 7:00 p.m. that evening. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday for visitation until time of service.
