Mildred Matt

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mildred Matt announces her passing on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette. She was 67. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Mildred was a homemaker who was strong-minded and giving. She was a homeopathic healer and loved to garden, but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her husband of sixteen years, Berlin Matt of Carencro; daughters, Kim Kapp Kelly and husband, Bill of Church Point, Helen Thomas and husband, Randy of Carencro, Ramona Savoy of Breaux Bridge, and Jody Lynn White and husband, Wes of Melville; step-daughters, Jo Ann Bishop and husband, Russell of Valley, AL, and Tanya Waddell and husband, Forrest of Ville Platte; brother, John Hanks and wife, Mary of East Louisiana; sisters, Gloria Laneaux of Sunset and Patsy Leger of Carencro; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Mable Simar Leger; brother, Junior Leger; and sister, Joyce Deshotel.
