Nelwyn Manuel Marcantel

Nelwyn Manuel Marcantel passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the age of 71.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 12:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home
in Basile. Father David Hebert will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Basile.
Nelwyn is survived by her husband, Wilson Marcantel of Basile; two sons, Tommy Marcantel of Basile and Kenneth Marcantel and husband Neil of Austin, TX; two daughters, Linda Barker of Mermentau, LA, and
Karen Marcantel of Mermentau, LA; one brother, Aubrey Manuel of Eunice; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Nelwyn was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre Manuel and Dollise Manuel Manuel; her first husband, Robert Marcantel; one daughter, Cheryl Comeaux; one brother, Francis Manuel; one granddaughter, Nikki Lynn Comeaux.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM by Father David Hebert.
The funeral home will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 AM until the time of service.
