William "Bootsy" Jackson Prather

William "Bootsy" Jackson Prather passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the age of 82.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church
in Mowata at 2:00 p.m. Fr. Joseph Tran will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Mowata.
William is survived by his wife, Betrella Daigle Prather; one daughter, Roxanne Fournet and husband Tim of
Lake Arthur; four sons, Barry Prather and wife Christine of Richard; Gregory Prather of Richard; Bradford
Prather of Richard; and Christopher Prather and wife Denise of Eunice; one sister, Margaret Ardoin of Richard;
fifteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew J. Prather and Ruby Steen Prather; one grandson, Timothy
D. Poole; and one brother, Lee Prather.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. by Fr. Joseph Tran. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. Thursday for
visitation until the time of service.
