Trucking lobbyist
DOTHAN, Ala. – Services for retired truck stop owner and lobbyist Elden Shuff will be Dec. 29. He died Dec. 24 at age 82.
He owned and operated a number of truck stops in Louisiana and was an active lobbyist for trucking interests in that state.
Emily Pommier Duke was born on December 8, 1921, in Mamou, LA, and died on Christmas Day, 2014 in Bogalusa at the home of her eldest son.
Ernest LeRoy Peres died on Thursday, December 25, 2014, at the age of 59. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 1 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate.
Mavis Dietz died on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings at the age of 70. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church.

SHREVEPORT – Services for retired radiologist Dr. Wynton “Son” Carroll will be Dec. 23. He died Dec. 21 at age 96.
