The state budget crisis may dip into the St. Landry Parish School Board finances.
During the Board’s Finance Committee meeting on Monday, Tressa Miller, finance director, said the state may pull back $35,000 in Racino funds.
After Supt. Edward Brown announced that June Inhern, a white woman, had been hired as supervisor of individualized instruction, two black St. Landry Parish School Board members voiced complaints.

The St. Landry Parish School Board’s audit was labeled as “good” by auditors from Kolder, Champagne, Slaven & Company, LLC, at a committee meeting Monday.
Auditor Casey Ardoin said the audit was an “unmodified opinion, which is a good opinion.”

The St. Landry Parish public school district ranked 61st out of 74 school districts in the state in district report cards released to the public Thursday.
The release included district and state report cards.
