Ten applicants have been selected for consideration by the St. Landry Parish School Board for the superintendent’s position.
The Board scheduled a meeting on Sept. 15 to decide on the number of finalists and procedures for hiring its next superintendent.
The St. Landry Parish School Board budget scheduled for a vote today shows an eroding general fund balance.

The St. Landry Parish School Board placed a survey on its website Tuesday asking the public to pick the top ten desired characteristics of an effective superintendent.
