Wayne Toups to close festival music lineup

The Experience Louisiana Festival will open its second year with a New Orleans style second line parade through the festival site.

Lakeview Park and Beach a labor of love for owners

Since the 1960s, locals and tourists have passed a good time at Lakeview Park and Beach just north of Eunice, and the park’s current owners are working to make sure that tradition continues for generations to come.

Cooking demonstration planned at Prairie Acadian Culture Center

A series of guest chef demonstrations begins at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Jean Lafitte National Park Prairie Acadian Culture Center.
The event was announced by the St. Landry Parish Tourist Commission and is being organized by Louisiana Kitchen & Culture magazine.

St. Landry Parish branding campaign introduced

A campaign to brand and bring the good news about St. Landry Parish to the forefront was introduced to about 50 people at the St. Landry Economic Development office Thursday.
“We’re Moving Forward” signs are to mark sites were good news is happening.
