4 amendments accepted; 9 rejected;N.O. tax proposal still at issue

Louisiana voters appeared to have adopted four constitutional amendments in Tuesday's primary voting and rejected nine. The fate of one remained in doubt as the last 300 of 4,018 precincts still had not reported.
Apparently accepted were Amendments 1, 2, 7 and 9.
Apparently rejected were Amendments 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.
Amendment 5, which would drop the requirement that judges leave the bench at age 70 or when their term expires after reaching that age, was on the bubble, with about 50 percent of counted votes being counted yes and 50 percent being counted no.
