Accord leaves road, hits trees, rolls, unbelted driver dies

A Flatwoods man died Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash on La. Highway 8 near Smith Lane in Vernon Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.
Gaylon Bolton, 62, was partially ejected in the crash of a 2007 Honda Accord he was driving east on La. 8 at a high rate of speed.
Officers said the car left the road, hit several trees and rolled onto its roof. Bolton was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash is being investigated. Routine toxicology tests are pending
