Evergreen man dies in crash

An Evergreen man died Monday when his SUV left La. 361 and hit a culvert.
State Police said the crash happened about 9 a.m.
Kenneth Howard, 56, was driving a 2006 Mazda SUV west. As Howard was entering a right curve, he crossed the centerline and eastbound lane of travel. For unknown reasons, Howard ran off of the left side of the roadway, into a ditch and struck a culvert, troopers said.
This crash remains under investigation.
