Forecasters expect only one major hurricane in 2014 season

Colorado State University climatologists predict nine named storms, including three hurricanes, in the Atlantic hurricane season this year.
Phil Klotzbach and William Gray forecast that only one of the three hurricanes will be major, with sustained winds greater than 110 mph.
The average season, which runs through November, has 12 names storms, including six hurricanes, three of which are classified as major.
The climatologists express El Nino, the weather pattern suppresses storm formation, to be in place by the heart of the storm season -- August -- with the potential to be a strong weather pattern.
