'Kissing' congressman has no plans to step down

Governor Bobby Jindal has joined other Republican higher-ups who are urging "kissing" Congressman Vance McAllister to resign. Some are calling McAllister an embarrassment to the Republican Party, his state and Congress.
McAllister took office in November, elected in the 5th District over Jindal's favorite to succeed Rodney Alexander, who resigned, then went to work for Jindal.
The Ouchitat Citizen earlier this week posted on-line a leaked video showing McAllister apparently passionately kissing his district office scheduled. He is married and so is she.
A spokesperson for McAllister says there are no plans for a resignation.
Cynics point out there wasn't sure a furor several years back when Sen. David Vitter's relationship with an escort service came to light. Vitter is now a candidate for governor in next year's election.
