Man gets life for killing his mother

A Bossier City man who stabbed his mother to death will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Christopher Holder, 23, was formally sentenced Tuesday by state District Judge Mike Nerren.
Holder will not be eligible for parole or suspension of his sentence.
In August, a jury convicted Holder of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his mother, Donna, in November 2011.
His counsel argued Holder was mentally unable to realize he had committed the murder.
