Man walking on interstate hit, killed

A pedestrian was killed while walking on Interstate 55.
State Police said Lavarious Grisby, 20, of Pontchatoula was killed about 8 p.m..
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1999 GMC pick-up truck, operated by Michael K. Green, 42, of Avondale, was traveling southbound in the left lane on I-55 near La. 22. Grisby was wearing dark colored clothing and walking with several pedestrians westbound on I-55. While walking westbound Grisby, for reasons under investigation, entered the southbound left lane, continued to walk, and was struck by the front of the GMC.
Grisby was killed. The crash remains under investigation.
