Traffic stop yields more than 15 pounds of cocaine and a pound of weed
A Florida man was been booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Thursday following a traffic stop on Interstate 12 which resulted in the discovery of over 14 lbs. of cocaine and over 1 lbs. of marijuana.
This morning shortly before 6:30 am, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L stopped a 2010 Ford Fusion, driven by 41-year-old Alexander Pesante of Orlando, FL, on I-12 near milepost 40 for traffic violations. During the course of the stop, Troopers became suspicious of Pesante’s behavior and upon request received permission to search the vehicle leading to the discovery of the illegal narcotics.
Troopers placed Pesante under arrest and booked him into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail without incident.
