Unbelted driver dies when truck leaves US 190, hits culvert

Tuesday at approximately 11:40 pm Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on US 190 in Robert near the Wal-Mart Distribution Center. The crash took the life of Bobby Creekmore Jr. of Robert.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1991 Ford operated by Creekmore (W/M 44) was traveling eastbound on US 190. Creekmore, for reasons under investigation, veered right, traveled off the road, entered a ditch and struck a culvert. Creekmore was not restrained, sustained life threatening injuries, and was transported to North Oaks Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Impairment is not suspected in this crash; however, a blood sample was taken from Creekmore for a toxicological analysis. Those results are pending as this crash remains under investigation.
