Unrestrained driver dies when vehicle flips several times

A Longville man was killed when his car flipped several times Saturday night.
State Police said Bryan Manuel, 48, was driving south on La. 383 when he lost control of his car in a curve. The car struck a ditch embankment and flipped several times, police said.
Manuel, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen Parish Coroner’s Office. A passenger in the vehicle, who was wearing her seatbelt, was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
