The Eunice city council may name its appointees to a master plan steering committee at its meeting Tuesday.
A natural gas rate hike of $3 on the first 1,000 cubic feet of gas is on the agenda for the Eunice city council meeting Tuesday.
A public hearing is scheduled at 6:15 p.m. in the council chambers prior to the start of the council meeting at 6:30 p.m.

The city’s accountant and its alderman at large call the 2016 budget approved Tuesday as “standstill” and “shoestring.”
A $7.240 million general fund budget was approved, up 1 percent from the 2015 budget.
After an hour-long executive session Friday, the Eunice Board of Aldermen voted to appeal a civil service decision to reinstate Mike Arnold as fire chief.
The Jan. 14 termination of Arnold now goes to district court.
Disappointing sales tax collections have city officials squeezing dollars even tighter than normal as the Eunice fiscal year heads into its final four months.
An example at February’s City Council meeting is a timely example.
