A record number of athletes participated in the 13th annual Eunice Rotary Zydeco Triathlon Saturday.
Donald Richard, one of the organizing Rotarians, said there were 167 pre-registrations and 15 registrations the day of the race.
“Previously we were around 130 to 140,” he said.
Registration for the Eunice Rotary Zydeco Triathlon will continue until 7:30 a.m. Saturday —the day of the event which begins at the Louisiana State University Eunice natatorium, 2048 Johnson Highway, Eunice.
Race day registration is $55 plus any USA Triathlon fees.
