Veterans honored, thanked

The selfless service of military veterans was honored in a ceremony at VFW Post 8971 Friday — Veterans Day.
Eunice City Judge Terry Hoychick said those who served didn’t care what he believed but did so in the name of freedom.

Veterans Day celebrated at VFW Post 8971

Veterans from the Eunice area as well as friends and family gathered Wednesday at VFW Post 8971 in honor of Veterans Day.

VETERANS DAY

The Eunice area has its share of living veterans, from WW II POW Harold Gournay to those who fought in the War on Terrorism, and three locals shared their stories of service prior to Wednesday’s observance of Veterans Day.
