Veterans honored, thanked

The selfless service of military veterans was honored in a ceremony at VFW Post 8971 Friday — Veterans Day.
Eunice City Judge Terry Hoychick said those who served didn’t care what he believed but did so in the name of freedom.

Ceremony to honor veterans at VFW Friday

There will be a Veterans Day outdoor ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday at the VFW tank memorial, located at U.S. 190 East.
Local veterans will be honored and recognized by the post. The ceremony is sponsored by VFW Post 8971, DAV, and American Legion Post 129.

‘We Back The Badge’ evening at VFW

The VFW Post 8971, Auxiliary, DAV, and American Legion honored local law enforcement with an evening meal Wednesday at the Post Hall on U.S. 190 East.
The theme of the evening, “We Back The Badge,” recognized city police, sheriffs, and city marshals for their service and protection.
