Schoeffler, Thevis exchange vows during evening ceremony

St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Richard served as the setting for the evening, double-ring ceremony uniting Maggi Schoeffler and Brant Thevis in Holy Matrimony.
The ceremony was held on Saturday, June 6 at 7 p.m. with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jill and Scott Schoeffler of Eunice, and the groom is the son of Glenn and Sheryl Johnson of Eunice, and Raymond and Phyllis Thevis of Crowley.
Serving as pianist during the ceremony was Connie Beaugh.
Ushers during the ceremony were Rocco Brasseaux and Tommy Shingleton.
The bride, given away by her father, was radiant in an elegant empire- waist satin gown with an overlay of delicate, detailed lace. The gown was accented with a band of rhinestones and delicate pearls.
Serving as maid of honor was Kelly Cook of Eunice, friend of the bride.
Bridal attendants included Brittany Savant of Lafayette, sister of the bride; Amber Lintzen of Eunice, Kelli Carrier of Eunice, Haley Atchison of Baton Rouge, Vivian Fruge of Baton Rouge, Taylor Thibodeaux of Eunice, Adrienne Bellard of Lake Charles, and Layne Fruge of Dallas, Texas; all friends of the bride.
Rylee Thevis, daughter of the groom, served as flower girl.
Best men were Tyler Vidrine of Eunice, friend of the groom; and Zachary Thevis of Iota, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen included Broch Leger of Eunice, friend of the groom; Brock Brasseaux of Mire, cousin of the groom; Eric Fontenot of Central, LA, friend of the groom; Chet Savant of Baton Rouge, brother of the bride; Zack Schoeffler of Eunice, brother of the bride; and Toby Luna of Eunice, friend of the bride.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at Ruby’s Restaurant & Courtyard in Eunice.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Riveria Maya, Mexico, and havemade their home in Denham Springs.
The bride is a Eunice High School graduate and a graduate of Louisiana State University. She is currently employed at Ralph Theriot, CPA, in Baton Rouge.
The groom is a graduate of Eunice High School, and is currently employed as a production offshore operator.
