Phillip DeVillier won the election for District 41 state representative. DeVillier will follow three-term Rep. Mickey Guillory into the office.
Guillory was term-limited out of the office.

Scott Fontenot’s run for mayor faces a final challenge in court, this time with the state’s Supreme Court.
The state Board of Ethics appealed a 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal decision that upheld a district ruling that it is legal for Fontenot to run for mayor.

Dale Soileau is announcing his candidacy for Eunice Ward 4 alderman in the March 5 election.
