Final approval of a property swap between the city and Bayou States Investments is on the Eunice Board of Aldermen’s agenda at its Tuesday meeting.

Thibodeaux named alderwoman

The Eunice Board of Adlermen approved Mayor Scott Fontenot’s recomendation that Connie Thibodeaux fill the vacant Ward 4 alderman’s seat.
The seat became vacant when Fontenot left it to become mayor following the Oct. 7 resignation of former mayor Claud “Rusty” Moody Jr.

Master plan draws sharp discussion

Talk of a master plan for Eunice elicited a sharp response from Jack Burson, alderman at-large, even as the council approved naming steering committee members by Aug. 18.
