Master plan panel may be named

The Eunice city council may name its appointees to a master plan steering committee at its meeting Tuesday.

Master plan steering committee to be created

The creation of a steering committee of 11 people to study the cost effectiveness of a master plan for Eunice was approved Tuesday by aldermen.
Alderman Marion “Nootsie” Sattler said the committee would provide progress reports back to the council on a periodic basis in his motion.

Aldermen OK gas rate hike; Wal-Mart resolution

A $3 increase in the basic natural gas rate charge was approved by Eunice aldermen Tuesday night without any public comment.
The increase is on the first 1,000 cubic feet of gas.

Action on terminated fire chief deferred

Action on former Eunice Fire Chief Mike Arnold’s termination was deferred at the Eunice city council meeting Tuesday.
