BATON ROUGE – Winter isn’t the time for gardeners to stop considering pollinators when they work in their gardens.
Residents of Devine Providence were visited by Santa’s helpers, the Zeta Amicae of Opelousas, to help them bring in the Christmas season. They ate gumbo, with potato salad, drinks, desserts, played several games of Bingo, and sang Christmas carols.
This week’s Student of the Week is Aisha Ledet, a freshman at Eunice High School. Her mother is Bobbie Ledet.
