Turners received Garden of the Week
The home of Stuart and Danielle Turner, above, received the Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden Club’s marker of Residential Yard of the Week. The home, located at 1015 Alida Street, features flowering beds of pansies, Shi shi sasanquas, Flax lilies, and Bottle bush brush.
Choir at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church of Eunice will present a Praise and Worship Easter Musical, “Salvation’s Story”, on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 at 7 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited.

More than 120 men attended Acadian Baptist Center’s 2015 Men’s Retreat held March 6 and 7. Praise and worship music was led by Bobby Powell and inspiring Bible teachings by Dr. Fred Luter, pictured above.
Rehearsals are underway as the Eunice Players’ Theatre opens its 46th season with “Other Desert Cities”, a two-act serio-comedy written by Jon Robin Baitz.
This intriguing play revolves around family secrets and the lengths to which parents go to protect their children.
St. Ed students participate at Quiz Bowl Tourney
On March 5, Mary Anne Bergeron, St. Edmund High Quiz Bowl sponsor, traveled with six St. Ed’s students to participate in the Bouillion-Harris Diocesan Varsity Quiz Bowl Tournament.
